Ahh...Chuck Heston perhaps the greatest name in American Sci-Fi.
Why, you ask? Well, many will remember him well for his role in Planet of The Apes, which also
led to a bit part in the Tim Burton remake. What I love him for is his role in The Omega Man, in which
he played the role of Robert Neville, originated by Vincent Price and reprised by The Fresh Prince.
Even when on the screen by himself, he absolutely gorges the scenery, eating every bit of props and backgrounds.
It was his later work in Soylent Green that I loved so much...
Strangely enough, as good as these films were. Neither were mentioned in any of the obits I found.
Heston died on Saturday in Beverly Hills with his wife...but did he have his gun in his hand?
