As many of you may now, this weekend's big marquee attraction for guys that isn't the
Olympics is Pineapple Express. It was written by Seth Rogen and Adam
Goldberg, of Superbad fame. As it happens, it is the major feature debut of
my friend from childhood, David Gordon Green. Since he's not a marquee name like
James Franco, Rogen, or Judd Apatow, he's not getting a lot of press
about his involvement, which in fairness is mostly technical. Rogen and Goldberg
wrote the script in between "Undeclared" and The 40-Year Old Virgin.
Roger Ebert did mention Green in his review, and he has spoken highly of him
in the past, whenever the movie Undertow was out. Green is well spoken in the following
clip, and I do wish him the best.
