Today I read the sad news in the paper, as well as on imdb, that Jericho will be cancelled...again. I have to admit, I did not catch this show the first time around, instead I caught the DVD series 1 last fall and have been recording the show and watching it with my lovely spouse and watching it off-hours. I think it's a casualty of the current TV market, as it's a very watchable show, with very engaging characters and a tight storyline, although the threads weave in and out. It's sometimes ham-fisted and silly. We were watching an episode last night where Alicia Coppola and Shoshanna Stern were bonding and it looked right out of a Hallmark Hall of fame movie. There are some continuity blips from time to time, but the show is a lot of fun in a really terrible timeslot. I do hope that the showrunners get the ability to bring the show end to an arc, and not a cliffhanger like last time. It is truly a very good, and I'll even say most of the time, great show that I feel will fall under the many other great lost sci-fi TV series of the past few years. Farewell, Jericho. I hardly knew ya.
