The man that predicted the internet, cellular phones, sattelites, and space travel has died. Arthur C. Clarke, author of the 2001 book and co-screenwriter of the fabulous film, has died in Sri Lanka. I was speaking with my son earlier this week and trying to explain the amazingness of this guy's work and that film, which predicted travels to Jupiter, artificial intelligence, and monkeys throwing bones into space. Coincidentally, while we weren't flying to Jupiter then, my son Avery was born, who knows a lot about Jupiter.
