George Lucas Opens His Big Fat Mouth Again...

So George Lucas is blabbing about Indy 4 saying that it's "Not The Second Coming," and that
fans shouldn't really get their hopes up and that "Movies from the past may not hold up."
I got news for you, Jar-Jar's daddy...the Indy series is the freaking bomb. You may be all about
the "Power of Myth" and "Joseph Bullshit Campbell," but your pal Steven Spielberg is a masterful
filmmaker. Raiders of The Lost Ark is a great film, pure and simple, and Indiana Jones and The
Crystal Skull will no doubt be pure escapism, what The Mummy and Pirates of The Caribbean
try to emulate but don't come close. If you watch old Indy movies, and even movies that inspired them like Gunga Din,
it is easy to get wrapped up in the excitement of these films. Twenty five years later, when you play Raiders on the
small screen, people crowd around it. Imagine what it will be like on the big screen later this year. There will be
people standing on their seats SCREAMING at the Cannes premiere, even Harry "Aint I Cool" Knowles.
Have faith in your own product, George Lucas, and stop putting all your cloned eggs in some cartoon basket.
